Ken Chakiris is a principle
of BJ Chakiris Corporation and Managing Director of the Metrex®
Division.
He has served as faculty
to Motorola University at Schaumberg, Austin and Tucson and has
worked in the areas of organization development, instructional design,
simulation design, and consultation skills. Ken's work includes
working with Motorola and their Applications Team, Training Needs
Validation and Instructional Designer for the business course: Business
Fundamentals which uses lecture, small group work, and computer-based
group simulation for accelerated learning.
He is author of software
for organizational diagnostic instruments of Metrex® Human Resource
Audit which measures effective organizational performance. Ken served
as course designer of Business Principles II, a business course
using simulation developed for Saturn Corporation and Motorola University.
Ken completed his Ph.D.
in Mathematics from Columbia University and served as faculty of
Harvard University and The University of Iowa. His current practices
focus on use of technology and simulations to improve education
and accelerate learning. As an instructional designer he authors
course design, computer software, and simulations.
His book Change Management:
A Model for Effective Organizational Performance published by
Quality Resources is coauthored with P. K.Felkins and BJ Chakiris.
The authors have written Developing Change Management Competencies,
and Leadership Patterns.
Ken designed Global
Leadership Behavioral Simulation used as leadership assessment for
development along with Global Leadership 360° Survey. He is master
facilitator for Business Principles II and Change Management Simulation;
certified facilitator of OrgSim™ behavioral and Enterprise Profit
Ability™ board game simulation.
