Organizational Development
BJ Chakiris founded
her own organizational development group in 1972. BJ received her
training and mentoring from Ron and Gordon Lippitt, brothers famous
for their pioneering work in the field of organizational change.
Among the Lippitts many other accomplishments is the founding of
the National Training Lab (NTL).
One of our most fundamental
guiding principles is transfering our competencies to our clients.
We have helped develop many in-house consulting teams for major
corporate clients.
Using Simulations for
Creating Organizational Change
From our perspective,
simulations are tools for creating organizational change. Before
selecting and implementing a simulation for your organization you
need to be very clear on the organizational issues involved:
- What outcomes do you want?
- How will you measure these outcomes?
- Who will evaluate the outcomes?
- Who should be on your design team?
- What resources are available?
- How will you involve the participants' managers and co-workers?
- How will follow-up issues be addressed?
- What audience will go through the simulation?
Simulation implementation
requires experience. Without the proper attention to the organizational
issues, a simulation seminar can end up being a fun experience that
doesn't add value. We have been marketing and implementing simulations
for many years to a diverse group of organizations. We understand
what it takes to make each simulation seminar a home run
and we have the resources to make it happen!
Our
Partners
Over the years we have
observed quite of number of simulations and companies producing
simulations. We have selected as business partners only those companies
that have simulation products that actually produce organizational
change. They are also people easy to work with and who envision
the big picture. Of course, they are technically very competent.
However, techincal competence alone cannot create and implement
simulations that produce measurable results within an organization.
