Welcome!
This primary purpose
this web site is to provide educational resources about how simulations
are used to produce organizational change. Even though we, of course,
highlight the simulations that we offer, the web site is
meant to be used as a general resource. BJ Chakiris Corporation
started its life as an organizational development firm and this
remains our primary emphasis. Simulations are a effective tool for
organizational development. On these pages you will also find other
resources useful for your organizational change efforts.

New Simulations for
The Energy Industry!
The energy industry
is undergoing major changes. New business conditions have challenged
an organizational structure and culture that worked well under regulation.
Companies want to change their culture and adapt to challenges,
but it isn't easy.
Simulations are a remarkably
useful tool to explain and explore this changed environment. By
participating in a simulation, employees learn how business works.
This new knowledge, used in conjuction with other change programs,
helps clear up confusion and lays the groundwork for organizational
change.
ProfitAbility
for the Energy Industry is series of board-based simulations
that help participants:
- understand the financial
basis of success in their part of the business
- understand how accounts
are used to measure success
- know what has and
has not been important under regulation
- recognize what will
drive success in the future
- see how each employee
personally contributes to that success
The participants also
have a great time while learning!!
All of these simulations
have been custom designed for the energy industry. Due to diversity
within the energy industry, there are a number of different simulations
offered:
